Didn't like this book much. The characters were not very endearing and sort of dull. Someone to Watch Over Me was best book in this series.

I love when a trilogy gets better as it goes on, which is totally the case with this one -- I liked the first installment, but this one is even better. As always, Kleypas excels at painting a vivid picture of the setting, and includes lots of interesting details about the life of a Bow Street runner and magistrate. Both the hero and heroine are likable and well-suited to each other, and while I guessed the book's big twist ahead of time, I liked it so much that I didn't even mind. Super, super fun.

This was a good book, although the plot was kind of complicated. New problems just kept popping up until I wanted to scream "That's enough!" It was very predictable, even the ending, but it still held my interest and I wanted to keep reading it.
