This film is an overview of Opus Dei, showing that those extreme Catholics are not really flogging themselves, that they are very devoted in their way of thinking, and that there is nothing to be afraid of, since there is really no albino monk wandering around out there.

I loved this movie. I was expecting some half-baked attempt at refuting Dan Brown's book. Nothing close. This is a systematic and pleasant process of walking the viewer through the facts and life of Opus Dei members. I loved their showcasing of real people, women and men, their values and their practices. You may agree with them or disagree with them, but this is a nice, objective way to view them as they are. Good job!

This investigative documentary about the positive and negative aspects of Opus Dei is absolutely fascinating. References to the Da Vinci Code book are used to generate questions and areas of inquiry, but the main focus is on exploring the nature of Opus Dei as an international organisation of lay Catholics who follow a spirituality of sanctifying the world through their daily work. The documentary is a series of interviews with persons who are members or ex-members of Opus Dei and an interview with the Cardinal-Archbishop of Westminster (U.K.) The bonus material on the disc includes the longer interviews with eight of the persons involved, which added greatly to the documentary.
