The descendants of the founding families of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Caleb, Reid, Sims, and Pogue, are teenagers who have it all. This includes witch-like powers they inherited from their ancestors. At the age of 18, which Caleb will hit first, they will "ascend" into their mature powers. The catch is that every time they use their powers, it ages them. On the eve of Caleb's ascension, the group finds that someone else has been using their powers to cause trouble. Now, the four must find out who it is and put a stop to it before people start getting hurt.

The Covenant is a supernatural horror movie that revolves around a group of teenage warlocks at a private school in a remote area. Four friends, who are the descendants of families hunted during the Salem Witch Trials, struggle with the urge to use their powers and give in to the curse that their powers bring. When a mysterious new student starts edging his way into their circle at the same time strange events start happening in their school, the boys are forced to decide if they will sacrifice one of their own for the good of everyone else. This movie is another featuring Sebastian Stan which is why I initially watched it and I wasn’t expecting much. It isn’t so much a horror film so much as fanservice, clearly directed at young girls who want to see pretty boys. I wasn’t bothered by that and I actually ended up enjoying the movie because the acting was good and the plot was interesting. It is very cheesy and follows classic horror movie tropes with a damsel in distress and a struggle between good and evil but it’s a fun time if you’re in the mood for something darker but not nightmare inducing. Sebastian Stan, I'm sorry Hon! (He's one of my favorite actors and gorgeous men out there.) This movie is... not good. I was really pumped because almost all the guys are hot and I love witchcraft and supernatural stuff. Sadly, the plot was lame and predictable.

However, the pool scene and quick kiss between Caleb (Strait) and Chase (Stan) is fantastic. But now I'm more afraid of spiders than ever.

OOOOhhhh! That beautiful, gorgeous and 5'4" blonde sex kitten named Laura Ramsey. She caught my eye in 2007 with this very film. She's all of them. All rolled into one. Eat your heart out Ali Larter. I just rescently visited her from 2000's Final Destination' Good movie.
