Quite enjoyable telefilm from Dan Curtis, whose only work I had seen prior to this was the 1976 film 'Burnt Offerings' also starring actress Karen Black which I absolutely loved. Karen Black does a wonderful job as the lead character in each story working with very minimal co-stars. Each story is contains a different amount of 'horror' and 'suspense' and definitely makes the viewer feel like they're watching the predecessor to 'Tales from The Crypt'.

It's not as terrifying or spooky as what was being released in theaters at the time, but for a 1975 telefilm, it does the job with some jump-scares and unexpected twists.

SPOILER ALERT! The problem with the second one is Personality Disassociation Disorder (A.K.A. Multiple Personality) exist for one reason and one reason only: to keep the suicidal personality from gaining control. It is the Will-To-Live taken to the power of how many personalities are showing. It is the core personality splintered into its various archetypes to multiply the Instinct Of Survival. Two personalities MIGHT be in competition with one other (as in the ANYTHING YOU CAN DO episode in Robin Green's TOUCHING EVIL), but they would NEVER seek to kill each other - that's the antithesis of why they were brought into being! As for the third story, my Dad said it best: "HOOHAH! Tough Li''le Turd, Ain't He!"

The three tales were probably o.k. at the time they were made; however, the movie is dated. Current scary flicks are much better. Very predictable outcomes in the three tales make it uneventful.

Karen Black was outstanding in this project a very under rated actress Karen Black is on top of her (game) craft. She could act her way out of a brown paper bag.Playing multiple characters is impressive.

A great anthology horror film. The first & third segments are great, but I have to say I wasn't a fan of the second one. I found it very boring. Besides that the other two are highly recommended.

This film was the inspiration for a glam-punk band--The Voluptuous Horror Of Karen Black.
