I have only just discovered these books( one of four, I believe) and I am sad to see the young author, Harry Horse, (Richard Horne) has passed away.
It is written as a series of letters from a grandfather to "Dear Child".
Grandfather goes on adventures with his talking dog, Roo. Harry has sketches throughout that add delight to his stories. This is a fun and funny read. A Burlington Library Staffer.
