This has got to be one of the most beautifully written books I've ever read. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The character development of Will Henry is especially emphasized in this book of the series perfectly. The series of conflicts within this book differs from the others in the series because the conflict presented in the previous two had been simply a monster of some sort but in the book, the conflict is self vs self, when Will Henry questions human nature as he kills the two men at "the centre of the world". It is a BEAUTIFUL plot and Will Henry has never been such an engaging character. It was truly inspirational. The dialogue is brilliant as usual and the writing just as poetic and expressive.

Practically the best book on the planet! It was quirky, funny, and the action scenes were really believable. The character development is spectacular. It's also really... deep as if it able to convey different parts of life. The language and writing style were intricate and amazing. Everyone in the world should read it and so should, well...aliens. If martians read it, I'm pretty sure they'd have a very good opinion of Earth people. Read it.

Finished reading this novel and I'm still taken by it. "The Isle of Blood" to me seemed to have more humor than the previous two novels, but still retained some gory moments. This part of the series focused more on Will Henry's darker side which was very refreshing after what had happened in the second book with Warthop. Currently I am waiting for the next book to be on the self.

*Readers keep your eyes peeled for the fourth and final book "The Final Descent" planned to be released on September 10, 2013
