By day he made thousands of dollars a minute. By night he spent it as fast as he could, on drugs, sex, and international globe-trotting. From the binge that sank a 170-foot motor yacht, and ran up a $700,000 hotel tab, to the wife and kids who waited for him at home, and the fast-talking, hard-partying young stockbrokers who called him king and did his bidding. Here, in his own inimitable words, is the story of the ill-fated genius; a story of greed, power, and excess no one could invent.

I thought maybe it was just the movie that was offensive - perhaps the book would have some investing "pearls of wisdom" - but no, this is just as extremely offensive and useless as the DiCaprio movie - I couldn't listen after just 5 minutes or so. My brain hurt from such crass, empty worship of extreme sex, drugs and capitalism at any costs - with absolutely no redeeming insights! Avoid at all costs.

A thoroughly unlikeable and unredeeming character. I cannot understand why this book was made into a movie. Not really worth the time to read or listen to.
