Red explores her adolescence, her responsibilities, her desires, and her destiny in this novel.
Red lives with Granny in a cottage in the village, where boarding up the house and hiding during Wolfstime is necessary to survival. She has her own internal battle between her wild side and her strict, overprotective upbringing. Plagued by nightmares she doesn't understand and a temper she can't control, Red struggles to save Granny's troubled bakery business and to nurture her budding romance with Peter, even as the betrayal of her classmates awakens the wolf within.

Love this book. Wondering what happened to Peter though. Feel like it was a cliff hanger and there should be another book. But cant find one. But Great read.

I should really go find out what the name of a Once Upon A Time fan is called. I wouldn't consider myself a HUGE fan, but I do like the show and its characters. I found it quite interesting that they went and had this novel written about Red and what she had to go through. I am sure most people are familiar with the classical folktale, that results in a beheaded wolf and a happy grandmother and granddaughter. But what if Little Red Riding Hood's biggest fear was herself? What if she was the wolf?
