After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

While nothing beats Wonder Woman in the slightest this installment challenges the heroes internally like never before. If you can't face yourselves then how can you possibly face true evil when it arrives?

This film also deals with the state and its level of involvement in internal/personal affairs. It's a good metaphor for power in general; not just superhero oversight.

Fine production and story, though I cannot stand the sped-up action and obnoxious shaky cam. It's my least favorite of the Captain America trilogy, but still a good movie.

spider man is awesomne

Good premise, good characters, interesting story, far too little time to develop it. Turning a huge, multi-comic-spanning saga into a 2.5 hour movie just isn't enough time to cover everything that goes on. Tons of characters and plot details are left out, though thankfully Spider-man made it in.

Even if you completely ignore the comic it's based on, and focus only on the movie universe, it still feels a little stretched and hollow. Yes, there were hints about this rift in previous movies, but not enough, and it all blows up and blows over in this one movie, when really, it would've been better as two or three. You also have a handful of characters, mainly villains, getting barely any time before they are either dead or shipped off to jail forever.

Needless to say, this was a good movie. When it came out in theaters, I was pretty over the Marvel movies and was getting bored with them. They all just seemed pretty dry and repetitive. This one however, changed the game and uprooted the current Marvel Universe. With superhero's having to pick a 'side', it introduced a new aspect to the franchise and addressed some growing tension between everyone. A good movie overall and definitely worth a watch.

"Vengeance has consumed you. It's consuming them. I am done letting it consume me."

Confession: I saw Black Panther before I watched any of the other MCU movies (or read novels based on their screenplays.) Now that I'm basically caught up, this one explains so much.

The Avengers caught in an impossible situation. My goodness. The story is what I like about these movies, and I dig it when a story isn't too easy.

Of course, the action isn't too bad either. Not too bad at all.

Despite the abundance of violence that deducted half a star from my rating, I did enjoy this Marvel threequel. I liked the character development that occurred throughout the film. The plot was very entertaining and so were the action scenes.
As I mentioned previously, this one was much more violent than 'Marvel's The Avengers', 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', or 'Age of Ultron', so I would recommend that anyone eleven or younger stay away (with exceptions).

A good entry in the Marvel franchise. Not great overall, but it had quite a few great moments. Like it or not, if you want to keep up with the franchise's overall story arch, you should watch each movie for its contribution to the overall project. Same goes for DC's latest run of films, actually.

Other: An eleven-year-old could potentially watch this, but their parents would have to skip through the excessively violent parts.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Scenes of torture and death. One particularly graphic scene involving the deaths of a husband and wife.

Violence: Fistfights, superhero violence, blood and death, guns, knives, etc.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: I would strongly caution exposing children younger than 14 to CA: Civil War. There are quite a few frightening scenes with villains committing cold-blooded deeds, and I think exposure to such things could harm a child's innocence as well as condition them to accept such things as normal. The scenes are far more poignant and are better understood by an older and more mature audience.
