Spoiler Warning!
I loved this book! It's so beautiful and well written. All of Erin Hunters' books are! It's so sad when Gray Wing dies though. I think he was my favorite character in the Dawn of the Clans series. I am glad he found Slate, became a brother to Clear Sky again, had kits of his own, got to see his mother again, gave Fern Leaf a home, saved Star Flower and her kits, raised Thunder, Owl Eyes, Sparrow Fur, and Pebble Eyes, known much love from Turtle Tail and all of his Clanmates, and that he is still following the Sun Trail, the prophecy Stoneteller told Shaded Moss, Lion's Roar, and all of her Tribemates, to StarClan. I'm glad Thunder is happy, has his own clan, and has Violet Dawn, his true love. I am also very happy that the 'groups' are now clans and that Gray Wing named Clear Sky's group. ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, SkyClan, and ShadowClan; they will live on! I recommend reading this book and all of the rest of Erin Hunters' books! I also recommend reading Moth Flight's Vision. That's what I'm going to do. Well, that's all I got to say. xD

I LOVE THIS BOOK. But its so hearbreaking graywing died right after black ear is rescued. The last quote made me cry: I have traveled so far and loved so much, and yet I am still following the sun trail, heading for my new hunting grounds... so sad vraywing must die. should read moth flight's vision after this XD

I loved this book the best one of Dawn of the clans. Some parts made me cry like the end how Gray Wing dies form breathing in smoke when there was a fire in the moors, and he dies right after Slate is mate had her kits. I loved it how Thunder finally found Violet to love after Star flower betrayed him. My favorite part of the book when star flower is captured and Clear sky has to rescue his mate and kits from Slash the rogue who took star flower and will only give her back if the clans each give him some of the prey they catch. I love how Erin hunter makes you feel like your there in the book. This book has excitement, sadness. Amazing book Erin hunter.

There's a lot of spoilers if you read Moth Flight's Vision first. Reading Path of Stars is better to start with. I had to learn this the hard way...

I knew Gray Wing dies thanks to Moth Flight's Vision. I read the super edition before Path of Stars. Gray Wing was already deceased in Moth Flight's Vision. Violet Dawn was already Thunder's mate also, and Willow Tail framed Red Claw for stealing WindClan prey. Willow Tail hated Red Claw because he drove dogs into the rogue camp and accidentally killed her sister. She dies when Clear Sky claws her eyes out in a fit of rage.

In Path of Stars it explains how the dogs destroyed the rogue camp in more detail. And there's little hints showing that Willow Tail has a disliking for Red Claw too.
