The title in Liane Moriarty's book Three Wishes is derived by the fact that her three central characters are triplets. Three 30 something young women from Sydney have vastly different lives, eccentric divorced parents, and a hardy and hale granny. The story starts out with these women celebrating their shared birthday at a lively Sydney restaurant but things soon go awry. Although they share the same upbringing, the adults they have become struggle with one another is loving and damaging ways. A wonderful, witty, tragic, and loving story of the sisters growing up, growing apart, and growing close.

I didn't finish this book (yet). I picked it up because I've heard so much good about this author's books and I loved the TV miniseries, Big Little Lies. However, this book certainly did not captivate me in the first few chapters... wasn't even sure what the purpose was and, since I was going away on holiday, decided to return it to the library unfinished... not something I do very often.

I just love Liane Moriarty's books. Her writing style is light and funny and just draws you in. This book was no exception. Interesting characters and a captivating story. I am going to try and read her entire collection!

This is probably my favourite Liane Moriarty book. Moriarty is an expert at the nitty gritty of personal relationships. I love when an author can put into words the things I think I am the only one to feel.

I was so disappointed with this book. I love Liane Moriarty's books, but I found this one to be predictable and somewhat facile, with a host of unlikeable characters. Really hoping she returns to her previous formula with her next book.

It was pretty good. Not my favourite. I prefer Carole Matthews or Katie Fford. Much wittier. Still, it got better as it went on. I'm not likely going to read any of her other books.

This author is one of my favourites but I found the style of writing in this book annoying to read.

This book was great because of Moriarty's humor. It was not my favorite story of hers, plot wise, but as usual her characters are loveable and humorous. Totally worth the read.

This was a funny yet poignant story about three sisters. How growing up triplets affected their entire lives - that even though they were very close they had many secrets that they never shared. Interesting to see how their lives were so different from each others Made you laugh in many of the situations, yet felt sadness in others. Very enjoyable read. I have enjoyed all of this authors books and now awaiting her newest one.
