FBI agent Liam Scott discovers how brilliant Allison is and wants her to help hunt down a cyber criminal he's been after for two years. He invites her to tour the bureau's state-of-the-art cybercenter in Boston. Once she arrives, he thinks he can convince her to join the team. But Allison doesn't want to work for the government?until Liam makes an offer she can't refuse: work for the FBI for one year, and they will expunge Jason's illustrious criminal record. Allison tries to deny her growing attraction to Liam, but just before her year in the FBI is over, she discovers someone has stolen the computer program she developed. Now she needs Liam's help in tracking down the thief. And as they begin to close in on the culprit, they also begin to give in to each other...

Just love how some people tell the story before the next person has read it. Finished this book in no time. Great story line, great characters and a little romance. A really great book and for someone that want's a fast, easy read this is for you.

Enjoyed the story of the computer geek with a developing romance with the FBI agent. It works well. I just found it annoying how "Allison" just kept getting sucked in with her cousin, aunt and uncle. For being such an intelligent young lady she should have had more common sense on her personal safety. She took too many chances on her own that always needed rescuing. Dah.

I haven't read a romance novel in awhile and I enjoyed this book. I liked the story of the computer whiz, hacking, and the hot FBI agent. This might be a predictable romance novel but it was a fun read!

annoying Harlequin type romance. the heroine takes blame for some ethical hacking to redress wrongs that the FBI could not trace. Torrid predictable sex scenes aimed at a reading public with which I have not identified since I was 16 years old.

I gave this book only 3 1/2 stars as I would rate all other fiction. HOWEVER, if you greatly enjoy books of the heroine rescued by fantasied superhero man with lots of steamy, sometimes graphic sex, this book would rate way higher. This is my first Julie Garwood book and the plot involving gifted computer tech people gave it an interesting slant. When I searched her other books and found that they were formulaic, even to the point that all the heroines had a tragic, abused childhood, I declined to check any more out.

I think it's pretty unfair to rate a book that you really never read. It's easy to give up on a book but then leave the reviewing to someone else. I found Wired one of the better books I have read in awhile. So many of these books are totally predictable--this book was not. Give it a try. I sure enjoyed it.

Wired by Julie Garwood is a predicable romance. I didn't even finish it. Allison is a computer hacker and she meets FBI detective, Liam. The story went no where. I only got as far as page 32, before I realized that all of Julie Garwood's contemporary romances are all alike. And not worth reading! I wish she would go back to writing historicals because that's what made Ms. Garwood a bestselling author.

To most people, Alison Trent looks like an extremely beautiful college student, but looks can be deceiving. Alison Trent is actually a very talented computer hacker, and just the girl the FBI needs to track down a breach in their own system. Liam Scott seeks to recruit her, but can't stop the attraction he feels for her. This is a quick read. I picked it up and was halfway done with it before I knew it. Typical romance, nothing new here, but still a fun, light, entertaining read for someone who just wants some brain candy.
